The postcard is addressed to H.M. Freeman of Portland. The message, from Mr. and Mrs. Davenport, is dated July 6, '09, Andover. It reads, "My dear friend: - Mrs. D & I are stopping here over night and find it one of the prettiest spots we have yet visited. Up among the 'Oxford Hills.' & we think a nice place for you to spend a portion of your vacation. Come around to the house last of next week and we will tell you all about it."
