Show Details
According to the newspaper, the ship’s steward, W. Shopf, discovered the pig at the port of Sabine, located at the mouth of the Sabine River, where it empties into the Gulf of Mexico near the Texas-Louisiana border. Shopf smuggled the tiny piglet aboard the Astral in his coat pocket before introducing him to the crew. As the mascot, Felix traveled the world, including a journey to India.
