Image Info The families of D. Eugene Chaplin and Joseph Fessenden Chaplin having dinner at Albany Basin in Oxford County. In Albany Township, south of Round Pound, powerful glacial drainage passed through a narrow bedrock gorge along Albany Brook and carved deep potholes. During the 1800s the gorge was a tourist attraction called Albany Basin.
