Image Info Provisions for the MacMillan Arctic Expedition were inspected on the Bowdoin prior to the June 23rd departure from Wiscasset. Swift & Company and its subsidiary Libby, McNeil, and Libby donated the provisions that were packed specially for the long trip. Items included canned meats, cheese, butter, fruit, soap, and a variety of oils. A similar picture ran with the Portland Evening Express story on June 26th, 1923.
